Constant Volume Fume Hood

This is the most economical of the three types of standard Fume Hoods offered by Pure Aire Corporation. This style fume hood operates at a constant volume exhaust with all the air entering at the front of the hood below the sash. The operating/closed sash position is at twelve inches above the work surface, to maintain the required face velocity. The counterbalanced sash moves vertically beyond the twelve inch operating height to allow increased opening clearance. Increasing sash opening decreases face velocity. Construction of the standard fume hood is seal welded mainly from highly chemical resistant white stress relieved polypropylene. The standard fume hood features include; cool white fluorescent lighting, vented base storage cabinet with hinged door(s), adjustable levelers, top mounted exhaust duct, and three back wall mounted zones of adjustable exhaust.
